On this list, they do.  That is part of the point of the list.

This may be a radically different concept than you're used to.  That
doesn't change the fact of what we are.  (Indeed, it is in part because
of these differences that the FFML continues to survive in this day and
age, even as the rest of the Internet has changed around it: there is
still a home for those who wish to write quality fiction.)

As to the HTML, we are not interested in excuses.  It is ultimately
your responsibility to post in plain text, not in HTML.  We can
provide some pointers and tips, but it is your duty to find a way to
make it work - period.  Our list's software is not interested in
your excuses, merely in whether or not you have posted in plain text.
(Go ahead, argue with the machine until you're blue in the face.  It
doesn't care, and neither do we.)  If you need to find a different mail
client, so be it.  (You might want to try Firefox/Netscape to access
Hotmail, instead of MSIE.  Microsoft is less able to force HTML editing
into non-Microsoft browsers.)
