Hi,

My name is Ludovic Bostral, I run streaming-radar.com (streaming market
intelligence for the OTT industry).

  I'm building ffmpuzzle.com — a free, daily Wordle-style puzzle game where
players guess FFmpeg encoding parameters
(codec, CRF, container, etc.) based on a real-world scenario. It targets
video engineers, streaming professionals, and FFmpeg enthusiasts.

The game does not use, distribute, or modify any FFmpeg software. It only
references FFmpeg command syntax and parameter names for educational and
entertainment purposes.

I'm reaching out to ask for informal permission to use the name "ffmpuzzle"
and to reference FFmpeg terminology on the site. A clear trademark
disclaimer ("FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard. ffmpuzzle is not
affiliated with or endorsed by the FFmpeg project.") will be displayed on
every page.

A few things that might interest the community:

  - Every puzzle is based on a real-world encoding scenario

  - Players can contest parameters they think are wrong (we take accuracy
seriously)

  - Players can propose their own scenarios

  - If we ever monetize (puzzle sponsoring), we plan to donate 80% to the
FFmpeg Foundation

Happy to adjust anything based on your feedback. And if you'd be open to
sharing it with the community, that would mean a lot.

  Best,
  Ludovic Bostral
