gnif <[email protected]> added the comment: Why do you want another dump of ffmpeg's output when I have confirmed that it is the same issue? ffmpeg -i on the stripped dts produces 2 as the channel count, which is correct. ffmpeg -i on the mkv produces 6 as the channel count, which is wrong.
The fact that this occurs on both mkv and avi files points to the dts codec incorrectly reporting the channel count back to the demuxer, this can be worked around by ignoring the channel count and counting the bits turned on in the channel layout. This is the 2nd time a xbmc user has submitted a file that exhibits this behavior, we are gearing up for a release and we would like to get this fixed ASAP otherwise our binary distro of XBMC will contain this bug and who knows how many others are affected by it already. ________________________________________________ FFmpeg issue tracker <[email protected]> <https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/issue2137> ________________________________________________
