Comment (by rogerdpack): 00:00:09.96 increases to 00:00:09.98 is this what you're describing? As a note with "-an" it retains the same size, so I wonder if it's related to this: http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-user/2012-August/008841.html though converting it over and over into .mp4 doesn't seem to increase the duration...
