Using VLC player v2.1.2, I am finding that the globe is round for both the
git 633b90c and 785dc14 output .avi files (so the vertically compressed
image seems to be an issue with the way in which WMP 11 plays back the
file). However, I'm still seeing the judder ("stuttering frames") in the
git 785dc14 output .avi file when using VLC.
