I've been having a similar problem where I get initialization freezes for
a few months where 1 CPU gets stuck at 100% when I'm using -re. Yesterday
I bisected it to a regression at 67be1ce0c6. However, I can trigger it in
a number of other situations (-re plus a subtitles track
overlay...somtimes, -re plus a time seek, often) and I can sometimes fix
it with bizarre workarounds like inserting a noop vulkan
hwupload/hwdownload.
