Hi all,
I've been using ffserver for a while now, and have become quite familiar with its use. I have identified a number of bugs which will make its use far easier as well as have a few feature suggestions that will make it easier to set up as well as more flexible.

I have spoken to a few of the ffmpeg developers, and I know a few who are able to take up ffserver development, but as with anything, it will cost as they will have to spend a large amount of time working on it.

I have noticed that there are a number of ffserver users benefiting from the program. I have paid for a few bugfixes from my own pocket, but I can't single handedly fund development. If people are willing to let me know how much they can contribute, I'm willing to take on the project of finding devs and maintaining a list of bugs/feature requests that need work, and making sure that the work gets done and the devs get paid.

People would not need to give me money, I would coordinate it such that when the work was done, contributors would pay the devs directly.

This is probably the best way to get ffserver development moving along. Please reply to this email if you or your organization is able and willing to contribute to ffserver development. If you can contribute, I can make it happen.

- Naz.
