I've put in an inquiry to ASI regarding the importation of fleeces from UK
or Europe. I've asked if we're banning them as we have other livestock
imports from the affected areas. Will post whatever I find to the net.
I have sheep as well as the processing company and have done imported
fleeces in the past. I, too don't want to take any chances of contaminating
my flock or the neighbors cattle.
Case in point, my niece went to UK and Europe for the Christmas holidays.
Her girlfriend, who has sheep here in Warsaw, is a student for the year at
Oxford. Kami came home Jan. 4. just before this all became very public. She
has visited us several times. No sick sheep so far.
