Since I've been in the mood

I wouldn't say I had a favourite [sorry I've had to add that "u" because
that's how we spell it here <g>] but recently I have been overdyeing wool
placemats quite successfully as well in hot dye mixture with Panhue [nz
brand] dye with occasional addition of Sandalan dye.
Along with a continuous leftover of fleece from the SETS summer recess
project....we have now gotten back in Guild time but I didn't get
everything done due to pressure of sales/placemats. What I do with that
stuff......is put about 2" of water in bottom of pot and stuff in a load of
dry fleece....dribble some liquid dye over that [no more than 2
colours].....push that lot down gently and stuff some more dry fleece in
pot.....carrying on in that mode until I can get no more comfortably in pot
by then it's mostly under water/liquid & if it looks like it could do with
more water I add a slush or two <g> then I bring it to boil & then promptly
turn it off.......leave in pot until cool or overnite. Then drain & rinse
through net curtain affair & then dry.
It seems to depend on the fleece but some of it is totally new colourways,
or it still has sploshes of white through it.
