Thank you Vanda, Cathy and Dee Dee,
The Tree was made of Wools and cottons,
The Foilgae , in multy colored crochet completely freeformed made of many
small parts that were than either knitted crocheted or embroidered
together , it size is about 175 cm on 110 , but because it is kind of
oval, The Idea was that You can stand UNDER it , beside the trunk, i would
say it looked a bit like a big upside down Umbrella , I made some big
loops that are supposed to be hung on the ceiling, while i made a [green
cloth] covered rod at the upper back side of the foliage that is meant to
be hung 50 cm under the ceiling , by this you get the foliage neatly over
you head. From the foliage hung i made some crochet curls, a ribbin with
some embroidered message, a crochet bell with an [old] phone coin, I also
hung some crocheted forms with some wishes , and i hung `real` chimes on
it as well .From the Start Iwas interested in too big a trunk , since i
only considered a `link` to earth , thus I knitted it sideways 350 long
with branching roots at the bottom and branching out branches that `Went
into` the foliage, Trunk was made in many Browns , included some bobbles
knitting in one place , a Big `carved heart` knitted with a brownish
pinkish cotton in the middle trunk was at most 30-40 cm , to enable it
to stay wide [ I knitted purl side out thus trunk rolled in at sides]
I inserted some [ brown cloth covered] parts of rods in two places ,
thus trunk became a bit like
