Just a couple of comments about Spin Off: I have subscribed to SO
since before it was in magazine format. There have been numerous
articles that didn't interest me at the time I received the magazine, but
that I looked up later as my interests and abilities have changed. I find
that there is at least some information in every issue that is useful to
me.
As to the sweater on the cover belonging in a knitting magazine, it is a
handspinning project and does show one of the possible ways to use
handspun. I think that is especially useful to those who are just
learning the craft - even if they don't use that particular design.
I treasure my collection of Spin Off and am delighted that a new index is
coming out!
