First of all, I wouldn't bother spending money on the slicker-licker, if
that's what I read you're contemplating. The teeth are literally like
tiny knives, very dangerous, and really the licker in doesn't stay any
cleaner of wool than a standard one with wire teeth.
I had a Fricke with the fine cloth drum. I didn't find it did angora
and other fine fibers any better than my Mark V.
And the brush attachment does allow the user to pack a lot of fiber into
the batt--but is that a good thing? I found that a packed batt was
harder to spin, using my standard method of pulling off strips,
predrafting them somewhat, and then spinning. It might be worth while
if you predraft an entire batt, a la Deb Menz, but I personally don't
care for that process. I would rather have two light and fluffy batts
than one dense one :)
