I recently realized that I also wanted a wheel with greater capacity for
plying - also, the 2 wheels I had weren't as portable as I wanted - so
portability was desirable. Contemplated the Country Spinner. Did research,
called around, and finally ended up getting a Louet with two jumbo bobbins
and the jumbo flyer - the bobbins are HUGE. The regular bobbins hold quite a
bit, also. I had a Louet before - they are great for plying and are
maintenance free. I regreted selling the first one about 4 months later!
Their newer models are also good for a wider variety of yarns - not just
bulky. Thus, although I got it primarily for plying, it will serve as a good
all purpose, portable wheel - slap a seat belt on in in the front seat and
off you go. Comparison shop - prices can vary considerably.
