All, Thanks so much for all the suggestions and encouragement on my interminable shawl.
I showed it to a knitting friend today. She says it's a fine width and length, and promptly wrapped it around herself. She's a bit of a munchkin, but she is about the same size as the friend for whom I made the shawl. It looked fine on her. She said she's used many a shawl, over the years, just that size, and she kept very warm under them. WHEW! <wiping sweat from brow> I was so afraid I was going to have to rip and knit some more rows. <thud> I am exhausted from the stress and tension. <rats crowding around> <feeding my chocolate> Good Rats.
