Dee Dee, I have a pashima, which I love and consider to be a perfect size for a shawl - and I just got it out and measured it. The bad news is that it is 38" wide and 82" long. I also measured my triangular loom (which is very quick and easy - I just finished a woven shawl in 2 nights work on it) and it is approx the same length. I hope that helps answer the question - unforturnately it seems like you've a bit more knitting to do! Thanks for the answers on dyes. The wool I'm working with isn't superwash, however I would not be surprised if it was difficult to hold together as it is very fine. I'll just need to try small amounts at first. Jeannette
