All you have to do is go to an indenpendent bookstore, give the name of the book and the author, and that store owner can order it for you. I got my copy less than a week after I ordered it. Yes, possibly a bit slower than Amazon, but OTOH, though I paid full list price, I didn't have to pay shipping and handling, and the waste of packaging just one book didn't take place.
