count me as one of those who have been knitting for more than 30 years. the bad part is admitting that I have been old enough to knit at least a 'washcloth' for 48 years. the good part is that nothing about it is a worry anymore.
nancy bush writes great books communicating techniques to others. I dont remember her wording. most of the instruction books say something of the sort of...if you have trouble casting on loosely use two needles.... so you cast on, look at it, take it out and do it again. that is a learning experience and not wasted. anything that increases your skills is worth the time.
