Yolo finally sent us some of the yarn spun from the fleeces we sent in a year and a half ago, and it's really nice stuff - the skeins are all different sizes, though, so we'll have to measure the yarn on the McMorran balance and weigh each skein before we can sell it... I expected to have to do that anyway. We had it all spun medium-weight 2-ply.
We have (1) white Purebred Blueface Leicester; (2) White HexhamX <bluefaced Leicester crossbreds>; (3) White mixed breeds <shetland, border leicester>; (4) grey shetland; (5) brown shetland, llama and alpaca blend; and (6) black shetland, border leicester and llama. So, if we were going to get it weighed and labeled for sale, would we be better off trying to sell it by the skein or in "project-sized" lots? We're planning to dye some of the white and I know we have to do enough of each color-mix to finish a project at least... how much would be a good sized lot if you were buying yarn for a knitting or weaving project? - Karen KpM Cornerstone Arabians, Flock & Fiber (On Hyla Hill!) http://www.kpmcornerstone.com To stop mail temporarily mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: set nomail To restore send: set mail
