I bet this has come up before.
I have made socks of suffolk and they wash ok in the machine with warm water
in a wash bag on the delicate cycle. they tightened up a bit the first time
(good) and have stayed the same since.
I am wearing for the first time some socks of romney spun worsted on a drop
spindle with corriedale three ply toes and heels.

Now I am wondering if I dare put them in the washer. they have felted a bit
on the sole from wearing them today, and I am wondering if this is a warning
I should heed. The size is perfect, but I think a little felting is ok to
increase durability.
suggestions?
Nancy
