I agree with that, but how many times should the yarn be shocked before the
majority of the shrink is taken care of?  I still lament the gorgeous
silk-wool yarn which, once knitted into socks, shrank beyond wearing after
only a few washes - and this was after shocking the yarn.  I only did it
once...  Should I shock all of my yarn two, three, four times?
