Hi , i'm new to the list and to the internet and
e-mail thing, so please be patient with me if i make
mistakes [ and please correct me so i know ! ]

I have been weaving rag rugs for about 12 years, and
have just started using wool from my own sheep -
spinning about a year and hoping to start weaving with
some of my handspun ! I'm also learning how to knit,
which has been a very slow process - but i've made
three pairs of mittens and a hat and am hoping to do
some socks, but i'm not happy with my finishing on my
mittens, so might have to try toe up socks!

I would like to hear more about the person who has the
hand crank sock machine ! how do you do the heel and
how do you finish the toe?

I hope to have a loom museum some day - i have about
20 old rug looms [ usually about 5-6 warped up, and
some still waiting for restoration]

I have about 42 head of different breeds of sheep
[ can't decide on just one breed but my favorite and
main breed is Karakul, also have lincoln , shetland ,
romney and a few other crosses] I've had sheep for
about 3 yrs, so still learning about them too!

Can you use handspun on the hand crank sock machine?
I've also heard you can make socks on a knitting
machine, how do you do the toes and heels then?
I'm thinking of getting a knitting machine, what is
the best kind to get for handspun yarns?
