Hi all,

I have two comments to add to the discussion.

One, brown and other naturally colored fleeces are gorgeous when overdyed.
I have done it many times, and you can get deep jewel tones, even from a
fairly dark brown fleece. As to which red you want to use it would depend
on if you have a preference for warm or cool colors. I am partial to
magenta and burgundy myself. Any lighter portions of the fleece will take
the dye stronger/brighter and make really cool highlights you don't get with
white fleece. If you really want a strong color you will probably have to
use more dye than on a white fleece, but it is very worth it.

Two, I have a device for my Sears Kenmore dryer that is a shelf that pops
into the dryer. It is supposed to be for tennis shoes drying or something.
what it is amazing for is drying yarn and other handknit items that need to
dry fast without tumbling. The hot air circulates around the items on the
shelf and they dry quick. I just put the dryer on the automatic sensor and
it turns off when they are dry. It is amazing. (I must say I have the best
husband a fiber freak could have. When we went to pick out my washer and
dryer we shopped for ones compatible for washing wool, etc. when he
mentioned these needs, very seriously, to the salesman it was quite funny.)

Mollie Manion
