I've got buffalo all around me and have gotten bags of the fibre from the
owners. They have to run them through handling facilities and alot of wool
gets stuck on the fences. If anyone really wants to play with the wool ask
some bison farmers and you'll find alot do have bags of wool just waiting
for a spinner. I had my fun and now run the other way when I see a bag of
buffalo wool. It was so dirty and brown it got boring rather fast.
Off topic the buffalo next door are separated from my cows by a 4 strand
barb wire fence. We've never had a problem, the buffalo don't worry a fence
like cows and sheep do.
