I'm puzzled, as I currently have some towels/runners/breadcloths on the loom using a Monk's Belt threading for the pattern borders, and weaving plain weave in between. I could very easily weave just plain fabric using the sett and width of the warp as it is - try measuring for the shirt pattern and see if a compromise fabric width doesn't make nice cloth for both without any adjustments.
