I have spun a bit of the curly horse hair and it is much like spinning
Highland cattle, which I have also spun. The owners of said animals say
it is soft. Not in my idea of soft. It would be suitable for warp for
a rug, or warp for a hardwearing, but not that comfortable upholstery.
I have a friend who makes horsehair jewelry and leather work which is
fabulous. She calls it horsehitching and has written a book on the
technique. Very time consuming and challenging.
