To All Who are Interested,
First, there is a difference in German Angoras and Giant Angoras. As an
angora breeder, with experience in all four US angora breeds plus German
Angoras, I can state that pure 100% Germans should not molt. Giants,
however, were bred from Germans, colored short haired commercial bodied
rabbits, French Lop and Flemish Giant. Presented by Louise Walsh and
accepted by the American Rabbit Breeders Associationin 1988. They may or
may not molt, depending on the bloodlines. Giant Angoras were intended to
be larger than German Angoras. These are all published facts. I also
personally know Louise Walsh, and have this information first hand.
