During this two-day workshop, you will create a beautiful, heathery spectrum of colored yarns by carding together primary, secondary and neutral colors of wool. Exercises will include making a color wheel; tints, tones and shades of a color by adding neutral to a given color; complementary gradation; color dominance; and translating inspiring colors from objects or pictures into yarns that reflect those images. Class time will be primarily spent hand carding and spinning. Workshop will be held at the Peacham, Vermont Library (near St. Johnsbury, Vermont).
