No, "nelbinding" is not one of the usual spelling variations.

When the message left my computer, the "a" in "nalbinding" had the little circle accent over it (Ron can probably tell us the name of that accent). Somehow that got changed in transmission.

"Nalbinding" (with the circle accent over the "a") is a Scandinavian term for needle looping and knotless netting. The term nalbinding is now used internationally to distinguish needle looping techniques from knitting, crochet, etc., More usual variations of the spelling are naalbinding, nalebinding, or nalbindning.
