Wednesday-Thursday, March 10-11, 2004, Wisconsin

Woodstock Weavers Guild and Wisconsin Handweavers present "Women On The
Edge," a workshop with Anita Mayer.  This two-day weaving workshop
features a variety of edge techniques suitable for any type of fabric.
The techniques are simple but innovative ways to give a distinctive and
individualized look to any project.  Each participant will complete a
beautifully designed reference notebook of edging samples that include
buttonhole variations, fringe treatment, beaded edges and other creative
means of edging cloth.  Each page of the flip-style notebook will
feature one completed sample along with the instructions.  Dates:
March 10th and 11th, 2004, 10:00am - 4:00pm.  Place: Wisconsin

Spinning for Sock Knitting - six hour workshop taught by Deborah

Rita Buchanan will be keynote speaker at the Iowa Federation of

British Columbia, Canada

Fibrefest 2004 at Tradex in Abbotsford, BC, Canada, (close to the
Washington border and the Abbotsford Airport).  The second annual
Fibrefest will be taking place April 17th and 18th 2004 at Tradex in
Abbotsford, B.C., Canada.

A great fibre weekend with many workshops including Laura Fry, Roberta
Murray and Catherine Thomson. Many of the fibre animals will be there
and taking part in the Fashion Show. Also many fibre related

The Academy of Spinsters

The Academy of Spinsters. We are located in the small town of
Encampment, Wyoming. The town is located in a high (7400') mountain
valley. The school offers classes in Spinning, Dyeing, and
Fleeceweaving. Carol Lee is the owner and instructor, teaching fiber
crafts for the past 28 years. Lodging and all material provided in a
daily fee of $40. per person. We are available for groups up to 30

Brigid's Farm

Classes and workshops in our studio/shop located on our farm in Peacham,
Vermont.  Fall classes include Beginning Knitting, Sock
Knitting, Dyeing to Knit, and Introduction to Spinning.  A two day
Natural Dye Intensive will be held Nov. 22/23.  Students will receive a
comprehensive dye notebook with instructional materials and
approximately 150 dye samples produced in the workshop.

knitting, dyeing, weaving, and surface design from beginning to advanced
