Yee haw !! Sounds great !!

Egads - you're from Boston.

I lived in and around there from fall 1970 until summer 1988.
Since then I have not had:
-a half sour pickle
-decent bagels
-Greek pizza
-bluefish
-a view of the Citgo sign at night

If I send you Finn fleeces from yearlings, would you be willing to
exchange in kind for the above?

One of my few friends here is an retired Art Historian - Peter Mellen
from Ontario, who is noted for his books on (at least) the Group of (uh
oh)Five/Seven?

He also has sheeps.

I do not know what kind of Art History you are a professional in, but if
it is something vaguely related, then maybe I can get you some wool from
his flock...

I took several American Literature/Studies courses while at school in
Boston, from someone who is probably know dead, but perhaps you might
know who he is/was. He was at MIT, and was just a neat old guy that had
us read all sorts of stuff, and took us on as many field trips as he
could manage - including to Mark Twain's Connecticut home.

You are, by your professional title, either late to the profession or
much younger than I am, but I certainly hope that you are able to
continue your career as you hope to, that you get tenure, and that your
career goes - if not in directions anticipated - at least in directions
full of excitement (not stress) and adventure.
-and make all your students appreciate spinning. For me, the interest in
spinning coincided with 9/11, as I was working on a sheep farm where the
owner knew how to spin and weave (has a neat huge loom), and I did not.
