I have seen Blue Faced Leicester wool used in a variety of ways, from sweaters to socks. Because of the longer staple length, you don't have to put as much twist in as with a shorter staple wool, when you spin the yarn. Space dyed Blue Faced Leicester roving seems to be very popular at the fiber festivals I have attended in Oregon this year.
