For those of you who enjoy Celtic music, I'd like to
recommend Suas e! by Mary Jane Lamond. She has taken
Celtic melodies and reworked them in a more modern
style, but she has included on her tracks a waulking
song done while working, sounds of a spinning wheel
and a loom as percussion on a couple of tracks, and a
few songs sung in a more traditional manner. Pretty
much all in Gaelic as well. Good voice, and good
music.
I am busily engaged in creating Christmas gifts. Why
is it I don't get any inspiration to make gifts until
it's Halloween and I have a very short amount of time
to knit, bead, dye, spin, weave, or whatever? Then
after Christmas, I'm so burnt out I don't touch any
craft items all the month of January!
