Howard Brush in Rhode Island (they advertise in Interweave Publications)
seems to be the lone example.
Peter Wolters, where my husband once worked, stopped making carding
cloth when their ancient machines gave out, and sold their wire works
to China.
We've heard that the manufacture of these products is now somewhere
in Asia, no longer in Northa America or Europe.

Thanks Sara (and hello as well to your charming husband).

Right, I picked up Howard Brush at the top of my Goggle search. Their web page leaves a lot unsaid, and I (probably wrongly) decided that they were users rather than primary producers.

So, where do all the user-level carder makers buy their parts?
