Hi all - I'm very late with reading my e-mail, so I just found the mitered
square discussion. The origin of the mitered square is a book written in
the 50's by Virginia Bellamy, entitled Number Knitting. In the 70's
Elizabeth Zimmerman had a copy that she loaned to her "cussies." It is a
wonderfully creative book.
Several years ago, I had my librarian order it through ILL. She had to go
out of our area to find it and I had to pay for the library's expense (less
than $10.).
Holly, I think it would be worth the effort to struggle with your Ill in the
hope that they might succeed because it really is a wonderful experience.
