It is easy to feel intimidation when you are brand new, as well as at other times. Occasionally a particular person will cause this feeling, but most spinners, weavers, etc have been at the beginning and felt the same way. It is best to tell yourself that this is indeed a new thing and you have nothing to apologize for. Most people will have something they are good at and will have something to add. I just started a new spinner out this past week and she asked a lot of questions. Some I had not been asked before. Wonderful! This makes me think about my own technique.
Even though I have been spinning, weaving , dyeing, felting for some time, there is usually something new and different every day, either because I never took it in the first place, have forgotten it, or indeed never knew it. So, everyone can teach everyone else. Just, some do not want to admit they need to learn.
