That is not just prevalent in the South. I will ask people who come to
my craft table if they are local. They will often reply "No" and when I
further enquire find out it is a 20 minute drive or so, only. I live in
a small town and many in our town are great travellers, myself included
and I find it hard to fathom. But, everyone has a comfort zone and why
go anywhere else if you feel you live in the best place in the world?
