I made coiled basketry constructs over 30 years ago with "yarn" when I did my undergraduate work and had to take an off the loom course in weaving.. I don't like them well enough to "waste" my handspun on them though... <LOL>. I've got way too much to do to spend time doing something I don't like doing or respect the results of - basketry people, I admire many basketry forms and techniques just not *MY* results in coiling, etc.. There are plenty of gorgeous sculptural items that are regularly produced that you can see in the professional journals. Mine just don't "do" anything for me...
