I had some blue top which I wished to felt. It was labelled as a crossbred and should have been fine, but it sure took a long time to felt. I was told that there was probably some superwash wool in it to make up the batch. So, it could work either way.
I also had a large project once trying to felt onto muslin which would not felt. On checking into what I used, I had grabbed some superwash instead of regular merino. It makes a great cobwebby thing for Halloween. In this case, it was my fault. Tricia Cj.
