Since no one was there when the yarn was handpainted, no one knows if the yarn 
was actually steamed. Some other process may have been used to set the dye.

I've heard that, of the two different processes used to produce superwash yarn, 
that only the process that coats the fiber is now being used. The main 
complaint on that one, is that dyes don't 'stick'. Maybe the coating comes off, 
after x amount of washes in a wm?
