yarn your friend used
was perhaps NOT superwash???
Well, she said it was Wildfoote by Brown Sheep.
I used some Widefoote for a pair of socks several years ago, and noticed
that the socks have indeed felted somewhat. But I believe that the
newer stuff is much more washable.
Is it possible that the yarn used for those socks came from some older
stash - made before the yarn was 'improved'?
