Like most meat breed wools, the Oxford wool is pretty springy and should
be great for socks. Sparkle has a pretty fair crimp in her fleece and
the density is great. Since this breed is raised for its meat, not
wool, the wool was never a focus of selection. Sparkle's daughter,
Shine, has some curly patches thanks to her dad but I won't get to play
with Shine's fleece til she's off the show string in two years.
This wool will make a pretty lofty, springy yarn. I can put you in
touch with some Oxford breeders but be aware that they could care less
about the wool. They are much more concerned with the body under the
wool.
