Hi All,

I have a used ST Schacht wheel. My problem is that it works fine for spinning, but sucks at plying. When I spin counter clockwise, to ply, the wheel will NOT take up the yarn. Sorry. I'm soooo frustrated! I just do not understand why the wheel will take up the singles I spin, and then balk at taking up the plied yarn.

I've taken things apart. I've switched the whorl direction. I'm debating whether or not I should switch the bobbin direction. Right now, I have the large whorl end pointed to the back, with the drive band going over it. Should I have the bobbin placed so that the small whorl of the bobbin has the drive band going over it?

Phone or email Schacht. They are *very* helpful. I'd give you link or phone#, but they are in another computer currently having a HD transplant. Just Google them or whatever.
