For some reason, I was under the impression that you couldn't spin dry
skeins in a front loader, because it would felt the skein. Sheesh! Was that ever the wrong impression!
Not only will it spin them dry, but they will be MUCH dryer than with a top-loader, because the spin speed is so much higher.
I also spin out my fleece as I wash it (for the same reason), just making sure first that the fiber is 'bunched up' so it doesn't go all over the place. It dries up so pretty after being spun out!!
