While poking around the local Thrift Shop I came across an aged cone of what I call warp thread. The cone is 11.5" tall - must of been some kind of commercial use. I'd like to be able to determine the fiber, any ideas how to do that? I think maybe rayon. It's a natural ecru color, quite shiny, very strong - can't break it with my hands, at least 4 ply and about the diameter of 8/4 carpet warp or size 10 crochet cotton. The cone has been beat around some and looks aged. TIA for any suggestions. Anita
