Thanks a bunch Cathy. We are in fall mode here in Northern NH, USA and getting a good fall rain. I think I have polyester - how long has polyester been made? It melts and burns at the same time. The hard black ash bonded to the dish I held it over. I was very glad I listened to advise and held it with tweezers - man did that stuff burn fast.
