What was the color of the yarn to start with?  You said you over dyed?  I have
been saving onion skins for quite a while, much to my dh's dismay, lol.  Now I
have lots of those, and tons of walnuts to play with over the next few weeks.

Did you use a mordant for the onion skin dye?
