Wow! did I ever get a surprise brown (and a very rich one) using onionskins
last week.
I wanted to overdye some yarn, thought I would get a yellower tone, made the
*tea* very strong, using lots of onion skins and very little yarn for a test.
The yarn came out a rich chestnut BROWN, not yellow, not orange, definitely
brown. A beautiful shade. I expect I'd need pounds of it to dye any useful
amount of yarn, but what a surprise!
