Thanks to Patricia and Lea for the tips on non-standard replacement drivebands for my Ashford Joy. I now have some craft cord and some waxed linen to use. I also asked John at Village Spinning and Weaving (NAYY) for info and he came through as well. I've decided to get a "real" driveband for such time as I might want to take my Joy apart for cleaning, etc, at which time I'll put the "official" driveband on again. I also got carried away by their wonderful selection of fiber so my "little" $10 purchase of a driveband has turned out to be much more expensive - but I'll be expecting a late-solstice gift to be coming to my house in a few days; and I'm only grateful that I can afford to indulge myself.
Again, thanks to the list for listening and helping. Glenna Glenna in California's Eastern Sierra Mountains Independence, CA >>Dogs have owners; cats have staff<< To stop mail temporarily mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: set nomail To restore send: set mail
