I have a top loader and love it for washing fleece. I have never heard positive things about doing it in a front loader. If it was me I'ld buy a used top loader and just use for fleece.

I would also suggest using washing bags of some sort to prevent the fleece clogging the machine. I have heard of many spinners killing their machines that way. I have zippered bags that I put 1/2 lb of fleece in. I then load the machine with my bags and wash.

Jane in Vermont where winter has finally shown up.

Because the
fiber gets flipped up and down rather than out to the sides, it felts. Does
anyone have a remedy for this problem? Or will my machine have to suffer a
permanently disabling malfunction?
