Hi again, We take the agitator out. The Maytags work best because they have less "stuff" the fits up inside the agitator. There is a screw holding the agitator in place. You can also fix it so that it only spins. If you dismantle the lid switch, you can leave the lid up while it spins. I pay between 50 and 100 to have it done. Be careful to get one that doesn't leak.
